Partnership introduces New Orleans students to STEM careers

METAIRIE, LA. — (July 24, 2018)— M S Benbow & Associates(MSB) is proud to partner with YouthForce NOLA Internship Program (YFI), a program which aims to help youth make connections and acquire long-term employment opportunities with local companies in STEM fields. Under the program, MSB has hired a New Orleans high school student for a summer internship at the multi-discipline engineering consultancy.

MSB Engineers Mentor Regional FIRST Robotics Competition Team

METAIRIE, La.–(March 26, 2018)–M S Benbow & Associates engineers served as mentors for a robotics team competing in the 27th-annual FIRST Robotics Competition Bayou Regional, a high school regional event of teams from Louisiana and Mississippi taking place March 23-24 at the Pontchartrain Center.

The FIRST Robotics Competition is a nationwide competition that teams professionals and young people to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The program, called FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), is designed to engage students in “real world engineering” and discovery while also providing experience with project management, deductive reasoning, business planning, public speaking and working together as a team. MSB Participates in GNO Science & Engineering Fair (GNOSEF)

NEW ORLEANS一(March 2, 2018)一Engineering consultancy M S Benbow & Associates (MSB) took part in the 62nd-annual Greater New Orleans Science & Engineering Fair (GNOSEF) at Tulane University, sponsoring the Senior Division investigative projects category in the field of Electrical Engineering.

The GNOSEF hosted 350 students in the Region IX parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard and Plaquemines. Entrants fall into two divisions: the Junior Division, comprised of 6th- through 8th-grade students, and the Senior Division, comprised of students in grades 9-12. Continue reading
