MSB Recognized in 2018 National Safety Council Occupational Safety Contest
Safety Council’s South Louisiana Chapter recognizes company with Metro Safety Award of Honor
METAIRIE, La.—May 13, 2019—M S Benbow & Associates’s (MSB) safety culture and safe practices in the workplace earned the engineering consultancy recognition from the South Louisiana Chapter of the National Safety Council (NSC). MSB was one of four companies with 100,000-250,000 hours worked to receive the Metro Safety Award of Honor and among 23 companies of various sizes to earn the recognition.
The awards were distributed in April at the NSC South Louisiana Chapter Banquet at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Metairie.

While this is the first time MSB has been recognized by the National Safety Council, the company has a long history of developing strategies and systems to ensure that their engineering activities uphold the highest levels of safety performance. As a result, MSB has achieved more than 1,500,000 man-hours with zero injuries or illnesses and garnered multiple occupational safety accolades over the years. MSB for the eighth-consecutive year has earned the Contractor Safety Excellence Award, an honor for outstanding safety engineering and workforce safety performance at Shell Norco Refinery & Chemical Plant. Other safety recognitions include earning two Safety Achievement Awards from the Industrial Safety Training Council (ISTC) consecutively from 2014 to 2017 and the Chalmette Refining Partner in Safety Award.
