METAIRIE, LA. — (October 23, 2019)— M S Benbow & Associates (MSB) returned for the fourth consecutive year to compete in the 2019 Battle for the Paddle Jambalaya and Gumbo Cook-Off benefiting the United Way of St. Charles Parish. The Battle for the Paddle is held each fall to kick off the annual fundraising campaign for the United Way of St. Charles and to raise awareness for the organization’s service to this community.
MSB faced off against 25 other family and industry teams competing for the titles of “Best Jambalaya” and “Best Gumbo” during the 18th-annual charity cook-off. All of the food prepared by competing teams during this fun event was served to community members at the Dufresne Community Center.
“It’s fantastic to see the community of St. Charles Parish come together for a great cause,” said MSB Battle for the Paddle Cook-Off Team Captain Jeff Cancienne, MSB Business Development Account Manager. “We love to come out to compete and support the United Way, as they make a real difference in the community.”
