MSB Names John C. Carter, III, Electrical Engineering Department Manager

METAIRIE, LA.—(Oct. 10, 2019)—M S Benbow & Associates (MSB) has appointed John C. Carter, III, P.E., P.M.P., manager of the firm’s Electrical Engineering Department. With over 25 years in supervisory, project management and engineering experience, Carter has provided technical leadership over large, multi-site design projects undertaken to improve the reliability of off-site and on-site power systems.

Carter has worked nationally with clients on electrical power studies, electrical maintenance, electrical risk mitigation and cyber security. His background includes high-profile design projects in the energy sector encompassing generator excitation, voltage regulation, fuel oil storage, transformer replacements, control system digital upgrades, protective relaying and diesel generators. Among his experience, he was project engineer for a $600 million medium-voltage nuclear substation construction project and supervised a team of 10 design engineers implementing a condensor retube nuclear safety project.

New Orleans-based engineering consultancy promotes Scott Stewart, PMP, CSSBB

METAIRIE, La.−(February 19, 2018)−Scott N. Stewart, PMP, CSSBB, has been promoted to Project Controls Department Manager for New Orleans-based engineering consultancy M S Benbow & Associates. The position is dedicated to streamlining project planning, development and implementation for one of the Gulf South’s most versatile multi-discipline engineering corporations.

Stewart, who has over 15 years of major technical project, program and operations management experience, joined MSB in 2016 as Portfolio Manager and Senior Project Manager for electrical engineering projects.

M S Benbow Appoints Telecommunications & Technology Manager

METAIRIE, La.—July 19, 2017—M S Benbow & Associates (MSB) has named Shelley Compton, PMP, manager of the 39-year-old engineering firm’s growing Telecommunications and Technology division.
